Mary's background:

Wheaton College Class of 1977 majoring in Political Science
American University, School of Public Administration, MPA degree 1979
Mary Crickmore first went to West Africa in 1985 with her husband Scott to do famine relief with World Renew. In 1986, they began development and wholistic mission work with the Fulani people group, who are subsistence farmers and herders. In 2004 Mary became World Renew’s West Africa Regional Director, supervising and coaching a multi-national and cross-cultural team that works with twelve indigenous partner organizations. In 2014, in response to violent conflicts in West Africa and widespread suffering and trauma, Mary became a Master Facilitator with the Trauma Healing Institute, and has since then equipped leaders on three continents to lead healing groups. She retired from World Renew in October 2022 and now volunteers her time: as a Commissioner with the Glen Ellyn Park District, with the Trauma Healing Institute, and as a trainer and consultant.
